You might be Donor Conceived if….

Prior to learning one is Donor Conceived (DC), individuals may resonate with the following statements:

  • You’ve felt different from your family for most of your life
  • You only look like one of your parents or you don’t look like either of your parents
  • You don’t look like any of the siblings you were raised with
  • You have previously had suspicions that you may be adopted
  • You have a medical condition that nobody else in your family has
  • Your child has a medical condition that nobody else in your family has
  • You have little or nothing in common with the siblings you grew up with
  • Your parents were married for 5, 6, 7, or more years before you or an older sibling were born.
  • You were born in the 1950’s and your parents owned a mercury thermometer (as this was essential for plotting the time for conception at the clinic).

A commercial DNA test is the first step to confirming whether you are Donor Conceived or not.
