Intergenerationally Donor Conceived

If you are the biological offspring of someone who is donor conceived, then you are intergenerationally donor conceived.

It is very likely that your donor conceived parent doesn’t know all their medical information. For many donor conceived people they are missing at least half of their medical history or all of their medical history if they are embryo or egg AND sperm donor conceived.

This won’t just be lacking from their biological parent but will also be lacking from that biological parents extended family.

When you attend any medical appointments that request medical information, we recommend that you share that a portion of your medical history is also lacking, so that medical professionals can take appropriate action regarding any possible genetically inherited medical conditions that could also impact you.

As the offspring of a donor conceived person, being intergenerationally donor conceived can also have an impact on your mental health and how you perceive yourself.
